Patriotism Still Matters
Many Americans do whatever they want whenever they want; they don’t even think what the right thing to do is. People are stealing, and committing crimes. Do you think patriotism is still important today? Some people just aren’t loyal to their country, and to me they are not being patriotic. If we continue to be unpatriotic, we will lose all pride in being an American. Patriotism is still important today.
People that are stealing, and committing crimes are unpatriotic, but don’t forget about the people that say the Pledge of Allegiance, and when they are done with the pledge, they disrespect their country. So many people talk the talk but don’t walk the walk. Some people preach to others that we should keep our planet clean, which is true, but then he leaves and goes on a private jet, that kills the planet. That’s what it means not to be loyal.
There are people that aren’t loyal, and there are people that aren’t prideful. Pride is important to me because something done without pride is only half its potential. If you show pride in what you do, you will want others to see it. You will give all your effort if you show pride in what you do. People that don’t show pride in their work typically don’t enjoy their jobs, or what they do. Pride is a big part of patriotism.
Some people don’t have patriotism, while some people show an exceptional amount of patriotism. Some people that really stand out to me are, men and women who are in the military, and were in the military. They are willing to give their lives to help this country. Think what this country would be if there was no patriotic people. People like these really stand out to me and exceed the normal amount of patriotism.
People in the military have extreme patriotism, while others show average, and some disrespect rather than being kind and doing your part. I think patriotism matters very much still today. All you have to do to be patriotic is be kind, clean up after yourself, help others, and other things like that. I believe that people should step up and be kind.
